Zangeres Tamara Maria heeft zich gespecialiseerd in Latin jazz en wereldmuziek, waaronder Braziliaanse muziek, bossa nova en Portugeestalige muziek. Ze heeft na het afronden van het Hilversums Conservatorium het Ans Witting Stipendium gewonnen, waarmee ze zich verder heeft gespecialiseerd in Braziliaanse muziek in Rio de Janeiro. Met een absolute autoriteit, swingende relaxte timing en verfijnde smaak, zingt ze de Braziliaanse klassiekers. Ze heeft opgetreden op het North Sea Jazz Festival, op televisie met Cor Bakker, in theaters met haar theaterprogramma "A Tribute to Elis Regina", en op het Blue Note Festival in België. Haar roots, gevuld met een schat aan culturen, weerklinken in alle liederen die ze zingt.
